YOU make the difference
Without mentorship, positive youth development just doesn’t happen!
At The First Tee, we are serious about having fun. We also believe that meaningful, quality relationships are essential to inspire young people to look to the future, set goals, and unlock their potential.
“Young people don’t care what you know until they know that you care.”
Why do YOU coach?
Everyone is Welcome
Who are our volunteers?
Golf is at our core, but you don’t need to be a professional instructor or scratch player to make a difference.
If you have an interest in golf and positively impacting the lives of youth, there are many ways to get involved!
Ways to Volunteer
ON the golf course
Every year, we serve nearly 2,000 youth through weekly classes and special events at local golf courses.
Through the mentorship of caring adults, these young people will learn valuable golf and life skills.
You could be one of those mentors!
We provide training to help you prepare, and experienced staff to show you the way.
OFF the golf course
Along with coaching, there are many other ways to get involved with The First Tee:
- Special Events
- In-school programming
- Equipment inventory
- Media & videography
- Phone calls
- Transportation of equipment
If you are interested in any of these topics, please mention that in your form or send an email to email@example.com!
“The best gift has been for me to be able to work with the Coaches, Staff and the kids. I have done a lot of volunteering in my world and your organization is one of my most favorite. I always feel that my time is well spent and there are such good vibes with all of the other volunteers.”
– Coach Sharon
By contributing your time and talent, you can directly make an impact in a young person’s life. So thanks for your interest in joining The First Tee, and we look forward to seeing you at the golf course!
As you consider volunteering for our chapter, know that the safety of our kids is our first priority. Please read our Prevention Policies to see how we conduct programs and activities at our chapter:
